A public memorial for late musician Lou Reed will be held on Thursday (14 November) at the Lincoln Center in New York.
The tribute will take place from 1-4 p.m (local time). There will be “no speeches. no live performances”, his official Facebook page notes. “Just Lou’s voice, guitar music & songs – playing the recordings selected by his family and friends.”
Known for his solo career as well as frontman for the Velvet Underground, Reed died of a liver-related illness on 27 October, aged 71 years old.
