Fans attend Lou Reed public memorial in New York

A public memorial was held on Thursday (14 November) for late musician Lou Reed, taking place at the Lincoln Center in New York.
Known for his constantly-challenging solo career as well as frontman for the Velvet Underground, Reed died of a liver-related illness on 27 October, aged 71 years old. Hundreds of fans gathered to pay tribute, with his wife and fellow artist Laurie Anderson in attendance. Some of Reed’s classic tracks were played from speakers.
