The Charlatans to play Jon Brookes memorial concert at Royal Albert Hall
The Charlatans have announced a special one-off gig in memory of their late drummer, Jon Brookes, who sadly passed away last month.
Alongside special guests, Tim Burgess and co will play London’s Royal Albert Hall in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity on 18 October.
“Following the loss of our much missed friend and drummer, Jon Brookes, we, together with some friends, are putting on a show at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 18th October 2013,” a statement from the band reads. “The show will benefit The Brain Tumour Charity, which Jon was involved with during his illness. It’s our way of raising money for research into and awareness of a cancer that will unfortunately affect many lives as it has ours. We look forward to seeing you at the Royal Albert Hall and making it a night to remember.”
The full line-up will be announced shortly, with tickets going on general sale come Friday 20 September at 10am here. Presale tickets will go on sale prior exclusively from band’s official website.
