It’s been reported that drummer and co-founder of The Charlatans, Jon Brookes has lost his battle with cancer.
The sad news comes three years after Brookes was diagnosed with a brain tumour, having collapsed at a gig in Philidelphia back in 2010.
The announcement was made by XFM on Twitter earlier today, posting:

Our thoughts are with Brookes’ friends and family at this time.
