Daft Punk show up at VMAs, but only to give Taylor Swift an award

Daft Punk, who previously pulled a no-show on the Colbert Report, did show up at the MTV Video Music Awards as planned, but not to perform. It appears the disco-bots dropped by just to present an award to Taylor Swift for Best Female Video.
The duo wore their Random Access Memories-brand glitter suits and were joined onstage by a matching Nile Rogers, who did just as little.
What did come from them in the way of music during the event was a preview of the video for their second single off RAM, “Lose Yourself to Dance.” Watch it below (and long for Michel Gondry if you please):
