Arcade Fire to score new Spike Jonze movie 'Her'
Renowned director and filmmaker, Spike Jonze has a new movie coming out called Her, which sees Jonze enlisting an all-star ensemble including Joaquin Phoenix in the leading role, along with Scarlett Johansson, Rooney Mara, Amy Adams and more. But that’s not where the big names end either, as Arcade Fire have also been recruited to arrange the soundtrack.
Not the first time the pair have teamed up, Arcade Fire have helmed the project due in cinemas for a limited release during November. This will be just after the Canadian band’s upcoming new album, which is rumoured to be called Reflektor.
“It’s a movie set in the slight future of L.A,” Jonze said of the film. “Joaquin Phoenix’s character buys the world’s first artificially intelligent operating system… it basically turns into a human, this entity, this consciousness, on his computer.”
