Set to release their second recorded effort Are You Going to Stand There and Talk Weird All Night? on 29 April via Kanine Records, Valleys return with a dark and delirious video for their latest, ‘Undream A Year’.
Lonely, late-night wandering and fidgeting, floating bodies conjure a nightmarish journey, mirroring moments of terror highlighted by the songs use of pizzicato strings, deep buzzing bass and beguiling guitar. The glimmers of hope created by the chorus are dashed by its worryingly ambiguous end. The Montreal duo bring their brand of shoegaze, with its early Interpol bleakness and driving rhythms of The National, to the UK this May, supporting Suuns. Take a breath and drift off into this slightly unnerving dream.
