Watch: San Zhi – Leaving San Zhi [Best Fit Premiere]
Egypt x Bournemouth experimental pop duo San Zhi are back with a new demo and accompanying visuals simply entitled ‘Leaving San Zhi’.
Syncopated synth pads beat like swollen hearts in time with heaving guitars and a twinkle of chiming idiophone; Suraya’s pillowy vocals looming over the richly textured melody throughout. The tempestuous, overcranked video clip suitably reflects the foreboding composition.
‘Leaving San Zhi’ is a truly heavenly opus; floaty feeling pop executed with laserlike precision.
