The last Perfume Genius video we all saw, for ‘Hood’, caused a lot of controversy. Not so much because of the strong LGBT themes within but due to the fact that Youtube deleted the video, deeming the scenes, which simply involved a gay porn star cradling Hadreas and brushing his hair, “too adult” for public viewership.
This time round, it’s unlikely that ‘Dark Parts’ will cause as much needless uproar. In it, Hadreas cuddles up to some puppies and climbs a tree with his mother. Whatcha gonna do this time, Youtube? That too offensive for you? What if he falls, right?!
