Kala-OK are the latest intriguing signing to quality Danish indie label Tambourhinoceros – home to the likes of Thulebasen, Iceage and Treefight For Sunlight.
The project of multi-instrumentalist Kristian Mondrup, Kala-OK’s debut release Reminiscence of a Bodily Blues is inspired by Mondrup’s time in China back in 2009 and includes contributions from Treefight for Sunlight’s Christian, Nicolai Koch (Oh No Ono/Choir of Young Believers).
Before the album drops on 11 April you can make do with the hallucinogenic visual treat that accompanies ‘Stars Are A Sailing’, directed by New York-based video artist, Shiyuan Liu.
