Watch: Is Tropical release possibly the Video of the Year for 'Dancing Anymore'
We were teenagers once, and we’re going to bet you were too. For their latest (and definitely NSFW) video ‘Dancing Anymore’, London trio Is Tropical have found one such teenager – giving a whole new meaning to the song’s title.
In it, the (kind of inexplicably) French boy embarks on one of the most bizarrely symbolic instances of self-pleasuring probably ever committed to the medium of music video, and in one fell swoop destroys his hopes of ever making it as an actor. It starts off innocently enough: boy finds himself in a Stacy’s Mom-esque fantasy, big house, conventionally attractive middle aged woman making slightly provocative gesture with the pool pump. He’s left alone; so naturally jumps around with Billy Elliott ballet jumps, tinkles on the grand piano, has a swing of the various golf clubs and medieval sword ornaments around.
Before we know it however, he’s smoking in the master bedroom. The pixel pornography of his luxury “experience” that follows pretty much has to be seen to be believed, preferably not at work. Maybe this is what the X-rated French remake of Home Alone would be like. After a pretty grotty end to his Aloe-Vera sponsored fantasy, which takes in everything from mermaids, to house sized vaginas, to sex in a warzone, he gets on with the (ahem) job at hand efficiently and industriously. The pool’s clean, everybody’s happy.
