Watch: I Break Horses – Denial [Premiere]
Two weeks ago we revealed ‘Denial’ – the shimmering new single from Stockholm based duo I Break Horses, released through Bella Union as a white label 12″ for the recent Independent Label Market which was held in East London last week.
Ditching the reverb drenched guitars and drone like keyboard textures that made up the majority of 2011 debut album Hearts, with ‘Denial’ Maria Lindén and Fredrik Balck have taken a reinvigorated step towards a brighter, direct and overtly more confident sound. An exercise in a band breaking free of ‘second album pressures’ and doing what comes naturally.
Today, we’re pleased to reveal the official video for ‘Denial’ – a mesmerising montage of scratchy Bollywood found footage – it premieres below.
The 12″ vinyl, which comes accompanied with a remix of ‘Denial’ from fellow Bella Union label mate RxGibbs, is available to pre-order for delivery now via Rough Trade.
