Watch: BTU – Blueen [Best Fit Premiere]
Like throbbing club beats that have been compressed down to a suffocatingly dense degree, BTU’s ‘Blueen’ sets the tone for a inverse reality of sunny escapes through shaking shreds of lucid sleep.
Nasally bits of opiate-induced synths whizz through muted horns and billowy groans, as you begin to question…Did we take too much? Then swooshing wings filled with colorful DIY-crafted warmth carry you off into a wonderfully intense world where nothing is what it seems, but feels too good to believe any of this could be wrong. Babe, Terror and U’s new collaborative project, BTU is pleasure with a sense of dread.
BTU’s Without Armour digital and 12″ Vinyl release is out next week on Phantasy.
