The eagerly awaited return of Sarah Assbring, aka El Perro Del Mar, takes shape with the expansive semi-instrumental ‘Innocence Is Sense’ – the first fruits from the forthcoming self-produced fourth album Pale Fire which is due out later this year. Following suit from last year’s internet only single ‘What Do You Expect?’, ‘Innocence’ is yet another sample heavy musing from Assbring who seems to have ditched her love-lorn crooning in favour of an experimental foray into future disco, akin to fellow Swedish cohorts Bandjo. The change in direction is yet another thrilling step in El Perro Del Mar’s ever changing sound and sees her reclaim her position as one of the most important females working in Swedish music today.
