Watch Woman's Hour perform “Darkest Place” for Best Fit
In both sound and aesthetic, Woman’s Hour are one of 2013′s most exciting talents. Over the last twelve months, the London-via-Kendal four piece have dropped a string of quality tracks and breathtaking live shows that find them pushing the boundaries of gorgeous, intelligent left-field pop.
The band were top of the list for Best Fit’s first collaborative session film, which brings together the skills of our in-house video production team with their own hyper-focused, self-aware vision. Together, we created a breathtaking clip that captures recent single “Darkest Place” in one glorious live take, which you can watch above.
“With this video we wanted to create something that reacted to the song in a meaningful way,” explains vocalist Fiona Jane. “Our aim was to capture something of how we play our live performances, which for us is a very intimate experience.
“The use of silhouettes came as a response to the song, reflecting its darkness and melancholy. It was a privilege to work with Best Fit; a very natural process of throwing ideas around until one stuck.”
Directed by Paul Bridgewater and developed with Fiona Jane, William Burgess, Nicolas Graves, Josh Hunnisett and Erik Houlihan-Jong.
