Watch: Oh Land – White Nights (Best Fit Session)
Oh Land – the better known alias of Danish singer-songwriter Nanna Øland Fabricius – has been making us smile ever since we heard (and fell in love) with her glorious second eponymous record, way back in March. “As close as you’re likely to get to the perfect pop record and surely one of the standout releases of 2011,” is what we said. We caught her at The Great Escape in Brighton back then too and swore a blood oath that, by hook or by crook, we would track her down for a Best Fit session.
And so in a room styled by David Lynch during his yellow period, we caught the luminous Oh Land on film in a session that showcases the many talents of Ms Fabricius, not least her playful sense of humour…
