Watch: Disappears – Kone
Minimal garage four piece Disappears have played liberally with sound and genre in their half-decade of life, and haven’t been shy of recording their journey.
The Chicago, IL-based band have changed drummers twice (with Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth popping in), but the core structure of the quartet – helmed by frontman Brian Case – has remained the same. We met up with Case and the band in a gritty studio for a mammoth 14-minute version of “Kone”, which dropped back in April.
The performance captures the band at their best, encapsulating their unique and compelling essence; watch above.
