Watch Charli XCX perform exclusively for The Line of Best Fit
Armed with a vintage ghetto blaster, big ass platform trainers and a leopard print mini-dress – to the unassuming passer-by, you’d be forgiven for thinking Best Fit were involved in some kind of twisted take on the X Factor auditions when we hit an East London warehouse space with Charli XCX a few weeks ago.
A true star in the making, her popularity on a constant rise both in the States and here in Europe thanks to an extensive stint on the road with Coldplay. In fact, it was merely a few days before young Charli headed off to America where she would – over the course of just a few weeks – harness her craft for the larger stage. The shy and vulnerable performance captured here for Best Fit Sessions a million miles away from the shit kicking Medusa we witnessed six weeks later as XCX returned triumphant for an intimate show at London’s Sebright Arms.
Enjoy this stripped back version of current single ‘You’re The One’, released via Atlantic on September 17.
