Former schoolfriends, Australian four piece San Cisco craft a melodic upbeat sound so infectious and sun-kissed that you’d think the spirit of a lesser-known Beach Boy has been grafted into their songwriting sessions.
Hailing from Fremantle, the three boys (Jordi, Nick and Josh) and one girl (Scarlett) make a sizeable splash in their native land a year or or back in the top ten and – as these things go – with a multi-million views YouTube clip. That success led to deals with Fat Possum and Colombia. So far so good.
We met up with three of the four a few weeks back when the band were over for some shows with Darwin Deez and they cut the angsty heartbreak anthem ‘Beach’ for their Best Fit Session; watch above.
