Watch Mausi perform 'Move' for Best Fit
The song of 2013′s long and wonderful English summer wasn’t by two shouty Swedes (although we did hit the ‘I Love It’-on-repeat button as hard this season as a year back) but an English/Italian four piece with a more than deft grap of liquid disco beats and an indie dance anthemic.
Just like Icona Pop’s defining moment, Mausi’s ‘Move’ came on our radar some time ago and evangelically worked a special kind of magic for the band, taking them from indie label Loose Lips to a re-release via Sony imprint Relentless (where they now reside alongside the likes of Bondax, Martin Solveig and Chris Malinchak).
For their Best Fit Session, the band strip back the three or so minutes of the track’s melodic mastery to a taut 120 seconds of compressed dazzle and joy; watch above.
‘Move’ is is available for download from Sunday.
