Their impressive debut album Rambutan might have only dropped back in June but Bella Union signings Landshapes had a pretty busy couple of years leading up to it.
Transitioning from their previous incarnation as Lulu and the Lampshades) where a novel YouTube performance of old-time US folk classic ‘When I’m Gone’ became the inspiration Anna Kendrick’s audition piece in sleeper ‘Glee-but-better’ hit movie Pitch Perfect) the band’s gutsy development of the indie/folk sound has been a highlight of forwarding-thinking British music this year.
