Watch Hurry for the Riff Raff perform Lake of Fire in front of a giant boat
It was only a matter of time before Hurray for the Riff Raff popped up amid the New Orleans landscape painted by David Simon’s Treme. The HBO show by the creator of The Wire is essential viewing for anyone who cares about music’s greater role in society and we’re big fans at Best Fit.
Thus, it was with a sense of absolute joy to hook up with Alynda Lee Segarra and her fellow Riff Raffers as part of our special Best Fit Sessions at this year’s End of the Road Festival. On a rainy evening – while Graham Coxon played on less than a few hundred metres away – we dragged the Louisiana quartet into the forest ahead and perched them in front of a massive boat. The boat masked the DJ booth, used later that evening for our esteemed editor’s DJ set.
Check out the awesome Lake of Fire, above, from their fourth record Look Out Mama, which was released on Loose.
