Bird Courage clocked up their fourth album Māia Manu last year and were one of the many surprises we found at this year's End of the Road Festival.
The New York-based trio's take on folk is as gutsy as it is sublime, with a vibrant and sensitive delivery. Watch "Home", from Māia Manu, above, cut with the band at End of the Road.
Bird Courage play CMJ in New York on 25 Octoberand Māia Manu is available via bandcamp.
The End of the Road Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary next and runs from 4-6 September - tickets are now available. Session filmed by Sebastien Dehesdin and Sonny Malhotra
