Laugarbakki, Iceland-born Ásgeir Trausti (a “a one-man One Direction”, according to The Independent earlier this week) has broken sales records in his native country and is set to release his debut record this coming January.
John Grant has assisted on the translation of the album into English and the pair also teamed up for the video to “King and Cross“. We met up with the 21-year old at this year’s Iceland Airwaves 2013 for a studio cut of new single “Torrent”, released earlier this week; watch above.
In the Silence, the debut album by Ásgeir, is released on 27 January 2014 via One Little Indian. Pre-order now via artist website, Amazon or iTunes.
