Ane Brun stuck around for a little longer after the track we filmed with her last week to mark the release of a ten-year career spanning compilation.
As well as recording a version of ‘My Lover Will Go‘ from her 2005 longplayer A Temporary Dive, Brun also gave us an elegant take on the classic Newley/Bricusse showtune ‘Feeling Good’, taken from the 1964 musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd but better known to most of us for Nina Simone’s iconic version a year later (as well as the dominant sample on Kayne/Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne track ‘New Day‘)
Songs 2003-2013 is out now.
