TAVE wields his magic wand on debut "No More Maybes", featuring Bibi Bourelly and India Shawn
A long lauded puppeteer behind the scenes of the music industry, songwriting, producing and generally overseeing an impressive bounty of hits, TAVE has now embarked on a solo artistic era under his own name.
Unlike the wizard stepping out from behind the curtain in Oz, TAVE has the résumé to match his widespread acclaim as a magic maker in the industry. With years of experience under his belt as a touring music director and A&R executive, as well as working alongside some of the biggest names in the pop/R&B space from Kelly Rowland to Little Mix, 6LACK to The Saturdays (and the list goes on), TAVE brings an assured level of professionalism to the proceedings as well as the backing of the Academy, GRAMMY-nominated for his musicianship.
Born and raised in London, but creating his tsunami-sized waves all over - from the UK, L.A., New York, and Saint Lucia - TAVE's talent is hard to confine in one biography, let alone an individual city. In fact, his sound is a product of a multitude of melting pots, finding the midpoint between pop, soul, R&B, and hip-hop. At the centre of his craft is the propulsion of candid, vulnerable storytelling through feel-good melodies. He explains, “Ultimately, my goal is to bring good vibrations, wellness, and healing through music. I really hope it will inspire people to follow their dreams, whatever they may be; the passion has been instilled for a purpose.”
TAVE's aptitude for song craftsmanship was cultivated at the London School of Music, before being cultured whilst on tour with legendary 90's outfit All Saints. It was here that he crossed paths with producer K-Gee, kick-starting his studio career and extrapolating his now sundry list of skills. Drafting two acclaimed female trailblazers, Bibi Bourelly and India Shawn, as vocalists on his debut offering "No More Maybes", he delivers a swaying, harmony-forward groove.
Nothing short of euphoric in its humid production, and with silky melodies that run and dribble over one another like a stream, the track delivers a timeless message of standing up for yourself and being unafraid to stake your claim. "'No More Maybes' was one of the first songs I worked on while I was living in Los Angeles", TAVE speaks of the track's beginnings. "When Bibi and I went to the studio, we had deep convos about life, growth, and boundaries. I nervously played her the guitar sketch and she jumped in the booth and started singing. Bibi said, 'we should ask India to feature too.' That’s how 'No More Maybes' was born."
With bountiful and overflowing talent, and a wealth of contacts in his likely yellow-page sized phonebook, it is clear that TAVE is primed to continue the magic he has made for others under his very own solo emblem. "No More Maybes" crystallises his career-long vision of making "feel good music", this time just even further embellished by his own authentic stamp of approval.
