London-based French singer-songwriter Léa Sen returns with her dreamlike new single “Home Alone”, a track which whilst minimal, has an striking power hidden deep within its chords

Written with her older brother Florian Fourlin, “Home Alone” mostly encompasses nothing but Léa Sen’s captivating vocals, and a simple four-chord guitar accompaniment. Describing her boundless hopes and dreams, the track portrays Sen's willingness to aim for the stars whilst simultaneously fearing her ambitions will drag her to the depths of despair if unrealised.

“'Home Alone' is about my worst flaw that is also my best quality—my ability to dream with no doubt,” Sen explains of the track. “It’s brought me incredible highs and, at times, left me stuck in a prison of the worlds I created in my mind. I can feel like I’m flying above reality one moment and falling behind the next, caught between daydreams and ambition, love and limerence. Being a wild dreamer lets me shape new realities through music, but no one’s there to pull me back when life calls. It’s a contradiction I live with every day—a blessing and a curse.”

“Home Alone” is the first single Sen has released since she dropped her 2023 EP You Of Now, Pt. 2. The track is a model introduction to an artist who has been producing luxurious tones and melodies since her 2020 debut “Locked In”, which even looking back has a direct throughline to her current work.

Sen's musical journey began on her 15th birthday, when she was gifted her very first guitar from her parents. From there, taking inspiration from the likes of Ariana Grande to Sufjan Stevens, she began writing her own work teaching herself how to produce and developing one glittering piece after another.

In 2019, she moved to London and, following a personal loss, committed fully to creating emotionally elegant works that stand out amongst the more surface level outlet of her contemporaries. Within two years, she was working with the likes of Sampha, Vegyn, and Joy Orbison (for whom she provided vocals on the track “better”). Her new music for 2025 is something to be celebrated, with “Home Alone” set to provide new listeners with her prowess behind the mic.
