"A Dialogue between Feminine Wisdom and Masculine Uncertainty"

How strange. The first track off A dialogue I mean. It's an odd little number. Sounds like a computer game theme tune. Nice little intro. I don't usually like long winded titles but, and I'm not quite sure why, I like this one. (Thought I was being witty, guess not!)Geoffe Soule is a somewhat prolific noisemaker with all sorts of musical outlets such as Fuck, STAFF, Tara Jane Oneill, The Double U, The Naysayer... and many more I have not yet had the pleasure of hearing. But suffice to say he likes to make sounds all over the show.A Dialogue.. is a collection of simple, if slightly odd, folk tinged pop ditties ranging from the melancholy of 'The Dirge and Jolly Times' to the oddball electronic jitters of 'Squadra che vince non si cambria' (Italian is that? - Answers on a postcard!).Soule is the head of supermegacorporation and according to their website this record was made to fall asleep to. True, it does gently roll along, with hints of experimentalism like on 'They are in the Gate', and I could easily fall asleep to songs like 'Whedefit gesgeshi woude henate ityopya'. So I guess he has completed his mission.Think of Geoffe as a bi-lingual Elliott Smith with more of a sense of fun. Think of A Dialogue... as something for you to drift on whilst you've nothing else to drift with. Maybe have a toke too.
