Konradsen, Malena Zavala, Squirrel Flower and Brooke Bentham at Five Day Forecast

After opening with a night of wall-to-wall pop bops, Tuesday took the tempo of the Five Day Forecast down a notch. Konradsen’s soaring vocals over pulsing piano lines and delicate horns wooed the early crowd while Zavala’s gossamer guitars, psych hooks and harmony beds were entrancing. Taking to the stage for a solo electric outing, Squirrel Flower’s arresting performance was one of sparse guitar arrangements paired with powerful vocals that had the room in a stunned silence. Closing out the second night of the week-long festival, Brooke Bentham eased through a set of folk-inflected ballads and scorching guitar-led jams alike.
