Years & Years' Olly Alexander and Chrissie Hynde to perform at charity gala event in memory of Sarah Harding
Girls Aloud have announced a charity gala event for next month in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, and it'll feature performances from Years & Years' Olly Alexander, Chrissie Hynde and more.
Olly Alexander of Years & Years, Chrissie Hynde and Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson will perform at the fundraising event in honour of Sarah Harding, which will be hosted by Girls Aloud's Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, and presented by Fearne Cotton.
The fundraising event is called The Primrose Ball after Harding's "here I am walking Primrose" lyric from Girls Aloud's song "The Promise", and proceeds will be donated to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Cancer Research UK on behalf of The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.
Girls Aloud said, "We are so grateful to The Londoner for hosting The Primrose Ball at their wonderful hotel. Charles Oak, Hotel Director of The Londoner and Sarah, had a very special bond and holding her gala evening there will make the night even more special. Our hope is to raise a huge amount of money that will hopefully prevent other people finding themselves in the same terrifying situation Sarah found herself in."
As well as featuring performances, The Primrose Ball will include a live auction hosted by Johnny Gould, and will feature a Sarah Harding canvas painting by The Connor Brothers.
The Primrose Ball will take place at The Londoner on 8 October.
