Wire announce two special Record Store Day releases
Wire have announced the release of special double LP and never-before-released vinyl, exclusively for Record Store Day.
Wire will release a special double LP edition of Nine Sevens, a collection of their 7” singles first released as a box set in 2018, alongside Vien+, an updated version of WIR’s 1996 release that has never been available on vinyl until now.
These limited-edition releases bring together Wire's early singles with more obscure later tracks. The remastered 2025 edition of WIR adds a new re-recording of what is undoubtedly WIR’s most pop moment – "So and Slow". The version released here is based on how the band played it live, so, in spite of being instantly recognisable, it does not follow the arrangement of any previously released version.
