Weyes Blood joins The Strokes on "Reptilia" B-side “Modern Girls & Old Fashion Men"
Weyes Blood opened up for the iconic New York band at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, earlier this week, as they returned to Colorado for the first time in 17 years.
The Strokes returned to Colorado for their first show since 2006, following a string of shows in Southeast/East Asia.
During their set which spanned greatest hits such as, "Is This It?", "Soma", "Hard to Explain", and more, they treated fans to a special performance of “Modern Girls & Old Fashion Men”, with show opener Weyes Blood singing the Regina Spektor parts on the songwhich originally appeared as the B-side to their “Reptilia” single.
As reported by Stereogum, it's a song that The Strokes don’t play often. The last time they performed it was in 2019 with Mac DeMarco at a Barclays Center New Year’s Eve show. Before that, they hadn’t performed it since 2003.
The Strokes are set to headline All Points East Festival on 26 August. For more information, visit allpointseastfestival.com.
