
Wet Leg Spotify streams increase over 300% after BRITs wins
After picking up two BRIT Awards over the weekend, Spotify streams for Wet Leg's self-titled debut album spiked by more than 300%.
On Saturday (11 February) the BRITs took place at The O2 in London, and saw Harry Styles win big with four awards, followed by Wet Leg and Beyoncé, who both took home two awards each.
Following the 2023 ceremony, new data has revealed that Wet Leg's self-titled debut album experienced a 312% increase in Spotify streams after they won Group of the Year and Best New Artist. Their huge debut single "Chaise Longue", which also won Best Alternative Music Performance at this year's Grammys, saw streams spike 161% following the BRITs.
The biggest winner of this year's BRITs, Harry Styles, saw Spotify streams for his Harry's House album go up by 109%, while streams for Cat Burns's "go" song - which she performed at the BRITs - increased by 108%.
The Spotify figures were recorded on 11 February, and compared to the same hour seven days before.
