Wesley Joseph announces new project with "MONSOON" single co-produced with A.K. Paul
Wesley Joseph is back with news of his upcoming second project GLOW, and has delivered new cut "MONSOON", co-produced by A.K. Paul, to accompany the announcement.
"MONSOON" is Joseph's first outing as the lead artist since February's "COLD SUMMER", and is once again teamed with a self-directed video.
Speaking about the new single, which is co-produced by A.K. Paul, Joseph says, "I wrote and recorded "Monsoon" with A.K. Paul and Harvey Dweller between my studio and A.K.’s space in London earlier this year. The process felt like an awakening, and the beginning of a new chapter after ULTRAMARINE. I’d been thinking and re-evaluating things and the song put a lot in perspective for me. It’s a journey of liberation, and I found myself questioning and understanding my own feelings about the turbulence of life itself. The video is the most minimalist I’ve directed but also the most poignant, with each scene existing as a visual metaphor and the focus throughout being on feeling and expression."
The new single also arrives with details of his second project GLOW, which will follow last year's ULTRAMARINE project and will feature eight songs, including "MONSOON" and "COLD SUMMER".
As well as working on his own material, Joseph recently featured on Loyle Carner's hugo track "Blood On My Nikes", and produced Moonchild Sanelly's "April Fool's Day (Makahambe)".
