Water From Your Eyes turns Interpol's "Something Changed" into a duet
Water From Your Eyes share their remix of Interpol's track "Something Changed".
Water From Your Eyes have taken on recent UK touring mates Interpol’s "Something Changed" as part of their Interpolations project, which sees songs from their latest album The Other Side Of Make-Believe reimagined by different artists.
Speaking of adding vocals from Water From Your Eyes vocalist Rachel Brown to form something of a duet, their bandmate Nate Amos says: “The idea was to invert the tone of the song, like a photo negative - reframing change from something foreboding into something encouraging - as well as creating a conversation between Paul and Rachel in order to place the thoughts externally rather than internally.”
The track joins recently released interpolations from Makaya McCraven on “Big Shot City”, Jeff Parker's “Passenger”, and Jesu's “Toni”, with Daniel Avery’s contribution to follow.
Of the series, Interpol says: ”Interpolations is an exotic journey that reframes our songs and joins them to the vision of talented artists we admire."
Coinciding with this release is the full Bandcamp Live session which sees Water From Your Eyes performing three songs from their new album Everyone’s Crushed joined by additional guitarist Al Nardo. The performance is followed by a conversation with journalist Shaad D’Souza.
