Water From Your Eyes link up with Mandy, Indiana on "Remember Not My Name" remix
The song is taken from the forthcoming remix album, Crushed By Everyone which features reworks of every song on Water From Your Eyes' latest studio album, Everyone's Crushed.
The remix album features the stellar cast of Mandy, Indiana, Nourished By Time, Sword II, The Dare, The Cradle, Kassie Krut, Jute Gyte, fantasy of a broken heart, and the band's own Nate Amos.
Curated by band members Rachel Brown and Nate Amos, the album dips heavily into their personal rolodex with contributions that map the group’s rapidly expanding community – friends, tour mates, and peers. It’s the rare “remix” record where everybody has met in person (or at least shared some DMs).
Dropping in two instalments, today sees the release of Mandy, Indiana’s deconstruction of "Remember Not My Name"; Sword II’s pass at "Open"; fantasy of a broken heart’s take on "Buy My Product"; and Nate Amos' reimagined version of "Barley".
“It’s amazing to live at a time in which so many incredible musicians have the ability not only to inspire us, but to envision our existing works in their own unique practices,” Water From Your Eyes says. “We are so grateful that all of these talented artists spent their invaluable time and energy on this project. We hope that you enjoy listening to these remixes as much as we have.”
The band are set to kick off a run of UK and European festival and headline dates on 30 October in Manchester, including appearances at Pitchfork (Paris, London, and Berlin) and the Mutations, and Primavera Weekender festivals, as well as a show with bar italia on 7 November at Village Underground in London.
