Watch Yoshika Colwell cover Big Thief live in session for The Line of Best Fit
UK singer/songwriter Yoshika Colwell performs a cover of Big Thief's "Born For Loving You" live in session exclusively for Best Fit in collaboration with Crouch End Studios.
"I chose to play "Born For Loving You" by Big Thief because it’s a song that encapsulates so articulately life’s many complications & emotional trials whilst having this very direct core feeling/message of love," Colwell says of the cover choice. "It feels like a defiantly hopeful song to me, a kind of mantra for being in the moment with someone you love and for recognising something good when it comes to you. It’s also just a massive tune & very fun to play."
Colwell's Best Fit session follows the release of her second single "Adelaide", which landed last week alongside news of her debut EP There's A Time, which is due to arrive on 17 May via Blue Flowers. Colwell plays The Lexington in London on 30 April, and headlines St Pancras Old Church on 13 June. Tickets are on sale now.
