Watch The Smile's Tiny Desk Concert
The Smile, aka Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and former Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner recorded a Tiny Desk Concert late last year, and today (3 January) it's finally been revealed.
Back in November The Smile teased that they were recording a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR on socials, and today (3 January) NPR have given the performance an official release, which sees the band, accompanied by saxophonist Robert Stillman, perform their A Light for Attracting Attention tracks "Pana-vision", "The Smoke" and "Skrting On the Surface".
According to the video description, the "Tiny Desk crew was treated to a casual rehearsal" for approximately 90 minutes. They also recorded another song before "The Smoke" appears in the video, but it didn't make the final cut.
Last month The Smile released their live album The Smile At Montreux Jazz Festival, July 2022.
