Watch Fatoumata Diawara perform "Moussoya" live in session for Best Fit
Malian singer/songwriter Fatoumata Diawara performs a solo acoustic version of her London Ko song "Moussoya" live in session exclusively for The Line of Best Fit in partnership with Crouch End Studios.
"Moussoya" appears on Diawara's May 2023 album London Ko, and originally featured the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. She tells Best Fit of the track: ""Moussoya" talks about womanhood. About woman's role in society, that should be not underestimated. Women are smart, brave and can achieve great things in life without relying on anyone else."
London Ko, co-produced with Damon Albarn and Daniel Florestano, followed Diawara's 2018 album Fenfo. She will play shows across Europe this summer before returning to the UK for End of the Road Festival on 3 September. Visit fatoumatadiawara.com for more information.
