Warmduscher link up with CouCou Chloe on new single, "Cleopatras"
Warmduscher have shared "Cleopatras" feat. CouCou Chloe, as the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming new album, Too Cold To Hold.
Clams Baker of the band said of the track: "Beneath the surface of Willesden Junction, energy-siphoning aliens convene at Cleopatra’s. Here, they conduct social experiments on the heart of the city, manipulating its inhabitants and feeding off their vitality, all in pursuit of stardom."
The forthcoming full-length from Warmduscher follows 2022's, At The Hotspot and 2019's Tainted Lunch, and features several guests including Irvine Welsh, Lianne La Havas, Confidence Man’s Janet Planet, Jeshi and CouCou Chloe.
Talking about the video, director Penelope Whitehouse said: "This song is about ‘energy vampires’ and the creative process, trying to create something real and original in a world that is draining you. In our story energy vampires are real creatures that feed on starlight in space, but having drained every star they fall to earth and feed off people’s energy instead - namely the people who visit a local dive bar, Cleopatra’s, at night in the middle of the woods. When a struggling musician arrives at the bar, the vampires are determined to drain him completely."
Too Cold To Hold is set for release on 15 November via Strap Originals. For more information, visit strap-originals.com.
