Wallice shares new single "Best Friend" and announces new EP Mr Big Shot
Wallice returns with "Best Friend", her first release of 2023.
"Best Friend" follows Wallice's previous single "Japan" which was released in November last year.
Explaining how the song is about the memories of lost friendships. Wallice says: “A recurrent theme in my music has been friendship. I think this song can easily relate to both friendship and the friendship within a romantic relationship. I’ve had a couple falling outs with various friends throughout my life, I think it’s just part of life and growing up. Even though that friendship might not serve you anymore it’s still so easy to reminisce on it and miss it.”
The single release comes with a music video directed by Anthony Pham and John Merizalde, known for their work with the likes of Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, and Depeche Mode.
Mr Big Shot will be Wallice's follow-up EP to the 2022 release 90s American Superstar.
Wallice is currently on a tour of Asia and Australia as main support for The 1975. She has also announced a series of UK headline dates for later this year, including London’s Moth Club before returning to the UK for Reading and Leeds Festival.
"Best Friend" is out now. Mr Big Shot is set for release on 23 June via Dirty Hit.
