Victoria Monét, Saweetie and aespa join Anderson .Paak on the latest season of .Paak House Radio
Anderson .Paak’s .Paak House Radio has returned to Apple Music 1 for it's second season, featuring a rotating cast of A-list guests such as Amber Rose, Saweetie, Victoria Monét, The Linda Lindas, and aespa, and more.
On the inaugural episode of season two, .Paak is joined on set by Victoria Monét and aespa. He kicks things off with Monét in matching leopard print outfits in a ‘candid camera’-style sketch, before sitting down with her to discuss the meaning behind her new album Jaguar. Then, aespa helps Anderson .Paak assemble a drum kit, before breaking into a performance of their song “Better Things” with .Paak on drums.
Last year, Victoria Monét released her debut album Jaguar II, which included features from Lucky Daye, Buju Banton, her daughter Hazel Monét, and Earth, Wind & Fire; as well as a song produced by Kaytranada, having previously been known as a songwriter for the likes of Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony, BLACKPINK, Chloe x Halle, Brandy and many more.
Speaking about her album, Monét said: "I was always doing my artists projects and a lot of people met me first songwriting. So [with] Jaguar, I felt a lot like the animal. They are in the jungle and they're hidden behind the woods. They're not really seen. And then there's a right moment when they attack and pounce and become the huntress. So I feel like the album should symbolise that light – stepping into that light, being fearless and fierce, and getting what I always wanted."
