Victoria Monét reveals that she has two of Ariana Grande’s "7 Rings"
In line with her song "7 Rings", Ariana Grande gifted six of her besties with matching diamonds. Victoria Monét has revealed that after thinking she lost the original, she now has two rings from Grande.
The song was released in 2019, and features on Ariana Grande's fifth studio album, Thank U, Next. Monét and Grande are long-time collaborators and have worked together on songs such as "Dangerous Woman", "MONOPOLY", "34+35", and "Got Her Own", which features on the soundtrack to Charlie's Angels.
In the music video, Alexa Luria, Tayla Parx, Kaydence, Njomza, Courtney Chipolone, and Monét are wearing matching diamond rings, referencing the lyrics: “Bought matching diamonds for six of my bitches / I'd rather spoil all my friends with my riches.”
Now Monét has revealed that she actually owns two rings that were gifted to her from Grandé. "At one point I had lost one, and I was so devastated because I'm sometimes a bit irresponsible. That was the old me, this is the new me, but Ariana felt so bad she got another one," Monét said. "Then I found the other one. So she's like, 'Just keep both,' so I have two, and I wear them stacked."

"Before every show, I took them off and gave them to someone on my team, and then I put them back," she says, adding that she tries "not to bring them everywhere because again, I have that little place in my mind where I'm like, 'I don't want to lose them. They're so valuable.'"
Victoria Monét is nominated for multiple Grammy's for her album, Jaguar II, which features the likes of Lucky Daye, Buju Banton, her daughter Hazel Monét, and Earth, Wind & Fire; as well as a song produced by Kaytranada.
Speaking of the album's title and being seen as an artist in her own right, she said: "I correlated the music industry to the jungle. The jungle is a jaguar’s environment, but it’s not always the first thing you see. I felt that way about being behind the scenes in music.” She adds: "It took a lot of time, but I was happy to do it. I think that anybody who wants to be fluid in their creativity should be able to do so and not be questioned about why or have people be so confused. As long as you're willing to just keep changing the narrative, it's eventually going to happen."
The Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, 4 February at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. For more information, visit grammy.com.
