Usher serenades Doja Cat for her birthday in Las Vegas
On Friday (20 October) night, during his Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM hotel and casino, Usher took a moment to celebrate Doja Cat's birthday.
Whilst singing the song, “There Goes My Baby,” which features on the 2010 album Raymond v. Raymond, Usher spotted Doja Cat in the crowd and decided to take a moment to serenade her, in celebration of her 28th birthday.
“Doja Cat, ladies and gentlemen,” he announced to the crowd, as he took Doja Cat's hand and danced with her.
Usher is due to wrap up his Las Vegas residency. Beginning on 5 August 2021 at The Colosseum, the three-year residency is set to end late December at the Park MGM hotel. Coming Home, his forthcoming ninth album, will arrive the same day as his Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The city have also honoured Usher's contributions, by declaring an Usher Raymond day. Earlier this month, City Councilman Cedric Crear and Mayor Carolyn Goodman handed him a key to the city.
“Councilman, thank you so much for this momentous moment,” Usher said in his acceptance speech. “I know the efforts that go into doing something like this and I don’t take it for granted. I want to thank you for your belief in the future and your ability to be able to recognise those things that actually do grow your city. I am someone who is not just contributing by way of entertainment, but also to the heartbeat of the city.”
Coming Home is set for release on 11 February 2024 via mega/gamma, and is available to pre-save now.
