Universal Music Group and Music Health Alliance launch Music Industry Mental Health Fund
Universal Music Group (UMG) have announced their partnership with Music Health Alliance in order to launch the Music Industry Mental Health Fund.
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Chappell Roan called out record labels for failing to provide liveable wages or healthcare coverage to their artists, and detailed her own experience of struggling to deal with with her mental health after being dropped by Atlantic Records in 2020.
Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Noah Kahan, Sabrina Carpenter, and more, made donations of $25k to Backline, in order to help support the mental healthcare needs of artists.
