Troye Sivan teases his first album in five years
Taking to his social media, Troye Sivan has teased the release of a new album.
The forthcoming release has been five years in the making, and follows from his second album, Bloom.
Sharing teaser clip of his upcoming single “Rush”, he revealed that he’ll be releasing a new album soon. Referencing his old YouTube days, he wrote: "It’s not lost on me that some of you guys have been following along since i was the kid w the stye in my eye in that first video. Btw – I didn’t mean to take 5 years to make this album.”
The statement continued: "10 years since i signed my record deal, 5 years since bloom. Enough excuses now. Enough saying ‘soon’ this is for YOU and it starts NOWWWW".
Since the release of Bloom, Sivan has collaborated with Charli XCX on “1999” and “2099”, as well as dropping the EP In a Dream during the pandemic. He has also worked with Kacey Musgraves and Mark Ronson on a remix of his song “Easy”. His latest releases are 2019's “Angel Baby” last year's PNAU collaboration on “You Know What I Need”.
Troye Sivan is currently starring in The Weeknd's HBO series, The Idol.
