Troye Sivan changes his Instagram profile picture to Timothée Chalamet SNL parody
On Saturday evening (10 November), Saturday Night Live was hosted by Timothée Chalamet who performed Troye Sivan's hit "Got Me Started" alongside boygenius.
As reported by Variety, the SNL segment involves "a woman (played by cast member Sarah Sherman) complaining to her doctor (played by cast member Bowen Yang) that she’s been seeing a mysterious figure in her sleep every night". The doctor tries to conjure the image whilst the woman is awake, and soon Chalamet appears in baggy blue pyjama bottoms, a white vest, and blonde hair similar to Sivan in the "Got Me Started" video.
“What are you? Are you a demon?!” the woman asks. “Not quite, girly,” Chalamet responds. “I’m Australian YouTube twink turned indie pop star and model turned HBO actor Troye Sivan being played by an American actor who can’t do an Australian accent.”

“Isn’t he kind of famous?” the woman asks the doctor, to which he replies: “He’s gay famous. It’s different!” Chalamet dances again, which confuses the woman even more. “Why does he have my psyche in a choke hold?” “Isn’t it obvious, homie? I look like a moisturised Machine Gun Kelly, and I’m the most iconic blouse ever. Bye, diva!," Chalamet says. The doctor explains that a blouse is a "fem top".
He's then joined by boygenius who help him along with the choreography for the song, where they recreate the iconic moment where Sivan flashes his red pants to the camera. Elsewhere on the episode of SNL, Boygenius performed two songs from their Grammy-nominated album the record, “Not Strong Enough” and “Satanist".
In homage to the skit, Troye Sivan has changed his Instagram profile picture to a shot of Chalamet cosplaying as him.
Troye Sivan's third studio album, Something To Give Each Other, is out now via EMI Music Australia.
