Tropical F*ck Storm share cover of Jimi Hendix's "1983…(A Merman I Shall Turn To Be)"
Tropical Fuck Storm have shared their cover of Jimi Hendrix’s "1983…(A Merman I Shall Turn To Be)" as the final preview of their Submersive Behaviour EP that's out tomorrow (3 February).
Ahead of releasing their Submersive Behaviour EP in full tomorrow, Tropical Fuck Storm have unveiled their cover of Jimi Hendrix's "1983...(A Merman I Shall Turn To Be)", which will appear on the EP with "The Golden Ratio" and "Ann".
Singer and guitarist Gareth Liddiard describes the cover as "an attempt to right the recent wrongs perpetrated against Hendrix's classic "Angel" by some idiot from One Direction doing a karaoke-style 'tribute' for Jimi's 80th birthday."
The new cover marks the group's first outing since cancelling their 2023 shows outside Australia last month due to Fiona Kitschin's breast cancer diagnosis.
Tropical Fuck Storm's Submersive Behaviour 12" EP will arrive tomorrow, 3 February via Joyful Noise Recordings, and is available to pre-order now.
