Toddla T and Big Zuu unite on new single, "No Justice4Grenfell, No Peace"
Music producer Toddla T and rapper Big Zuu have dropped a new track which encapsulates the frustration and desperation of a community who feel forgotten and neglected by their government.
Grenfell campaigners gathered near the Wall of Truth, Grenfell Tower to launch a new track entitled "No Justice4Grenfell, No Peace", which has been created on behalf of the community by local music producer Toddla T and rapper Big Zuu.
All proceeds from the track will be going to the Hope Garden and Justice4Grenfell – a community-led organisation, which is focused on the long-term goal of obtaining justice for the bereaved families, survivors, evacuated residents and the wider local community. The track has been created to “turn up the volume” on the government, after six-and-a-half years of inaction.
Damel Carayol, who lost two family members, Khadijah Saye and Mary Mendy, in the fire said: “We are still waiting for justice; We are watching you and now you can HEAR us.”
Justice 4 Grenfell group organiser Yvette Williams added, “6.5 years on, with countless peaceful protests and a shamefully delayed public Inquiry report, it is clear that being quiet doesn’t work. So maybe if we are loud, the government will hear us. Maybe if we are loud they will listen and serve justice to the 72+ who died needlessly in our community that night on 14th June 2017.”
