Tkay Maidza unveils the brand new song, "WUACV"
"WUACV" is the third single from Tkay Maidza's upcoming new album, Sweet Justice.
At her wit’s end with the people around her, the Zimbabwean-born, Australian-raised, Los Angeles-based artist spits in her signature razor-sharp cadence, “Woke up and chose violence.” She says, “I wanted to write a song where I could express my bubbling anger toward people who had manipulated me during the last phase of my life.”
"WUACV" is accompanied by a glossy monochrome official video directed by Bel Downie.
The first female rapper signed to 4AD will release her second album, Sweet Justice. The follow-up to her 2016 self-titled debut includes the singles "Ring-A-Ling" and "Silent Assassin" (produced by Flume) as well collaborations with Lolo Zouaï, Amber Mark, Duckwrth, Stint and Kaytranada.
"WUACV" is out now via 4AD.
